Frequently Asked Questions

Where and when do you meet?

We generally meet every Tuesday at 6:30 P.M. at Lifeline Church. The address is 2800 Pennsylvania Dr, Denton TX 76209

How much does the program cost?

Dues are $95 for the program year. Dues can be paid with cash or check (made out to TLTX1160) during meeting time or paid anytime via PayPal (sent via FRIENDS AND FAMILY to TLTX1160@gmail.com) or Square to https://tltrooptx1160.square.site. There is an additional cost of $30 per child and adult for Trail Life Connect portal access and National Memberships which is paid online.  There are additional costs for campouts and events throughout the year but only need to be paid if you plan on attending those events.  We also hold fundraising events throughout the year to help offset these costs.

What is the emphasis of the Trail Life USA program?

Trail Life USA has 6 Program Emphases: Wisdom, Heritage, Teamwork, Leadership, Character, and Faith. Our program components support youth development, understanding, and practical experiences in these key areas.

How does faith factor into the program?

As a Christ-centered organization, our faith is woven throughout the program. From faith-building options in the advancement program, outdoor worship, to more in-depth discipleship opportunities, adult and youth members receive biblical instruction and training in biblical faith. As iron sharpens iron, so too will boys sharpen the faith of their peers. Adult Christian leaders will guide youth in the development of their faith and moral decision-making, as well as sharpen the faith of their adult peers.

Is your program co-ed?

The Woodlands Trail, Navigators, and Adventurers programs are only for boys ages 5-17. For girls we recommend our sister program, the American Heritage Girls. You can find more about AHG at www.ahgonline.org
